Description

Yorklyn, Delaware, is an unincorporated community in northern New Castle County, located northwest of Wilmington. It's known for its historical connection to the factory industry. Yorklyn's industrial history dates back to the 1600s with the establishment of mills for grinding grains and other agricultural products. The area later became known for vulcanized fiber production, a plastic-like material made from paper pulp, with the NVF plant serving as a major global industry hub.
